Pako Festa, held annually in Geelong and usually on Pakington St (where the name of the festival is derived from – though it was held in a different location for the second year running due to the COVID-19 pandmeic) is Victoria’s largest multicultural festival showcasing food, music and dance from numerous, generally local, cultural groups.
Cultures and nationalities represented and featured in 2022 include: Wathaurong, Russian, Lithuanian, Malayalam, Macedonian, Indonesian, Japanese, Ukrainian, Pakistani, Croatian, Spanish, Nepalese, Dutch, Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), Slovenian, Filipino, Hungarian, Greek, French, German, Bosnian, Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Fijian and Punjabi.
