The former Federal Greens leader, Adam Bandt, who now heads the Australian Conservation Foundation as its CEO, is running hard with his newfound passion for DJing (which he found in the lead up to the 2025 Federal Election). Bandt has performed a number of DJ sets since taking up his new role at the ACF, including a set at Lime Green Festival in Adelaide.
Bandt declares that the fun factor should be brought into environmental and community advocacy - both as a means of bringing people along and growing movements, as well as building connections within movements.
Bandt performed a DJ set at Cloverdale Community Centre, in Corio (Geelong) for the ACF Geelong community and loads of fun was had by all.
Cloverdale itself isn't at all set up as a party space and there was only a very basic lighting set up. We, however, managed to make up for this, and capture the energy of the evening, through use of the shutter drag effect.
