Pay The Rent
In recognition that we live, work and conduct business on Aboriginal land that has never been ceded, 10 per cent of all income derived from services provided (including donations) is contributed to Pay The Rent as well as other Indigenous initiatives and mutual aid.
Clients are encouraged, but not obliged to, cover this by paying an additional 10 per cent of the quoted fee for service.
*Reasonable expenses includes any applicable travel costs, meals, accommodation and additional equipment hire.
NB: “Funded organisations” include those who derive income from any source other than individual donations. These include for-profit entities, and not-for-profit entities such as trade unions, charities and political parties which gain at least part of their incomes from, for example, membership fees or sale of merchandise, and generally have paid staff. “Unfunded organisations” are those which rely only on small individual donations and don’t have paid staff (are entirely volunteer driven), generally including campaign and advocacy groups. Individual persons fall under the category of “funded organisations”.
