The Geelong West Neighbourhood House and the Combined Refugee Action Group hosts an afternoon tea with accomplished artist and Kurdish refugee Mostafa (Moz) Azimitabar, who was visiting Geelong as part of the Archibald Prize exhibition. During which he talks about his art and the message he's aiming to convey.

His accomplishments include:

Archibald Prize finalist 2022, 2024 and 2025.

Sulman Prize finalist 2023 and 2024.

Fisher Ghost Prize finalist 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Shortlisted for the 2025 Mosman Art Prize.

While in detention, Moz learned to paint using a toothbrush and coffee. He continues to use this method to create his art works.

We offer event photography services for events big and small.
