Victorian public service workers gatecrash Liberal Party fundraiser over job cuts

Members of the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) Victoria staged a snap, rapid response action at Softel on Collins, where the Victorian Liberal Party and its leader Jess Wilson were hosting a fundraising event with members of the business community.

The union and its members are livid at Liberal Party plans to cut more than 7,000 jobs from the Victorian Public Service across multiple departments, and turned up to make their anger known as attendees arrived for the Liberal Party function.

This continues our series in documenting union and workers led action in the lead up to the 2026 Victorian State Election.
