Eagle-eyed observers have probably already seen it, but in case you haven't: from September 1, 2026 - we're implementing a two-tier pricing structure across all of our services, plus we're formally bringing in multi day rates for engagements of three days or more in a given working week - also under a two-tier structure.
Our flagship rates will apply to all for-profit commercial and corporate work; while we're continuing to maintain our existing service pricing for not-for-profits and community groups. Artists and musicians will also enjoy the not-for-profit rates across all of our services as well.
For corporate and commercial clients, the transition to the new pricing structure will work as follows:
- From now until September 1: quotes for new and existing commercial and corporate clients will be issued under the current, outgoing pricing structure, and will be honoured even if work is to fall after September 1 - so long as your enquiry is received by us before September 1.
- From September 1 until June 30 2027 (end of the current financial year): current clients, that is - clients we've worked with previously - will be grandfathered in under the outgoing pricing structure during this period. New clients will be quoted under the incoming pricing structure.
- From July 1 2027: All clients will be quoted under the incoming pricing structure.
In short: our pricing isn't changing for not-for-profit clients.
Why the two tier structure?
We believe that entities operating for profit, or who have substantial funds, should be paying accordingly for our services. Such work also tends to bring with it higher pressure - whether it be corporate events or commercial clients. Furthermore, it's been at least two years since we last increased our prices. Costs haven't gone down during that time, while we're taking on a greater volume of commercial and corporate clients.
At the same time, if we increased our rates across the board, we risk pricing out our regular clients in the not for profit space that we work in. Something that we don't want to do.
The equitable solution to this is to have a pricing tier for corporate and commercial (for profit) clients while maintaining a second tier of pricing for not-for-profit and other low funded clients.
We're also opening our books for interstate work in 2027
Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth... We're opening bookings for interstate photography and videography event work from March 2027 onward. Limited slots available.
We're still taking enquiries for event and commercial photography and videography in Melbourne and the rest of Victoria as normal. We encourage you to get in early for the end of year rush.
The following conditions apply for interstate event and commercial work engagements:
- We must have at least three months notice for any client work to be performed interstate.Â
- Costs for travel and accommodation must be covered in full, in advance, by the client before any confirmation of go ahead. Coverage of travel and accommodation expenses is on top of our hourly and package pricing (of which a 50% deposit upfront will be required).
- All quotes for interstate work will be made under the incoming pricing structure regardless of whether enquires are received before or after September 1.
- 4 hours / half day minimum applies.
We'll have space for one interstate visit every 1-2 months. Priority for interstate bookings will be given to current clients. Priority will also be given to clients in major cities, for full day/multi-day events over shorter single day functions and for clients requesting both photography and videography as a package.
Get in contact to enquire about our services, and we look forward to working with you.
