Human Growth Foundation hosts Melbourne family day

The Human Growth Foundation, on its visit to Melbourne, followed up on its Pediatric Bone Symposium (note US English spelling as its a United States based organisation) geared towards professional development; with a Family Day dedicated to caregivers and families of people living with skeletal dysplasia. It also allowed families and caregivers alike to connect and network.

As with the Symposium, the event was held at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel Exhibition Room. Also much like the Symposium, we faced little issue with lighting (and much the same issues at the same time with the positioning of the projector) and we had more natural light to work with, as the event was held during daylight hours.

Professor Ravi Savarirayan was back to lead the discussion portion of the Family Day. Though the event as a whole was less formal and less structured than the Symposium the evening before.

There was plenty of networking between attendees over the course of the morming event.

Food details. On an aside: there was certainly a considerable surplus of food at the conclusion of the event, and we hope it didn't go completely to waste. Burgers and fries, along with chocolate brownies, probably weren't the most appealing option for an early morning breakfast!
